Learn to snowboard in Rohrmoos at the Hochwurzen

Good Freeriding possibilities, a starting point for snowboard touring and most importantly the wide pistes make Hochwurzen a secret spot in the Dachstein Tauern Region. If you still have not done enough riding by evening time then there is a 3km long floodlit piste at your disposal. Or you can have a go on the 7km long floodlit toboggan run.

As a snowboard beginner you will learn on set aside runs directly above the snowboard school. Success in learning is guaranteed with the wide pistes that run from the top station of the Gipfelbahn lift.

Beginner carvers and pros can usually be found on the wide quieter pistes in front of the Seiterhütte at the 4 man chairlift. For Freeriders and Touring Snowboarders the mountains Rossfeld, Guschen and Hochfeld are perfekt. Just ask at the station for your backcountry guide.
